The 2-Step Skincare Routine That Replaces Everything

The 2-Step Skincare Routine That Replaces Everything

What if your entire skincare routine took 2 minutes?

Not a "simplified" 7-step routine. Not a "minimal" 5-product system.

Two steps. Two products. Done.

The Math Nobody Wants You to Do

Your current routine (be honest):

  • Cleanser: $28
  • Toner: $32
  • Serum: $65
  • Eye cream: $55
  • Moisturizer: $48
  • Hand cream: $18
  • Lip treatment: $22
  • Body lotion: $28
  • SPF: $35

Total: $300+ every 2-3 months
Annual cost: $1,200+
Time: 15-20 minutes daily = 100+ hours per year

And your skin is still "figuring things out." There's a reason for that—each product creates the problem the next one "solves."

The Two-Step Reality

Morning:

  1. Wash face with tallow soap
  2. Apply tallow balm to damp skin—face, lips, hands

Time: 90 seconds.

Evening:

  1. Wash with tallow soap
  2. Apply tallow balm—face, neck, hands, any dry patches

Time: 90 seconds.

That's it.

No layering. No waiting for products to absorb. No wondering if your vitamin C cancels out your niacinamide.

What One Jar Replaces

Tallow balm isn't just face cream. Same jar handles:

  • Face moisturizer
  • Eye cream (same skin, same needs)
  • Lip balm
  • Hand cream
  • Body moisturizer
  • Cuticle oil
  • Cracked heel treatment
  • Eczema patches
  • Post-shave balm

That's not a marketing claim. That's how your grandmother used it.

Different products for different body parts is a lie invented to sell you more products. Your skin is your skin.

Why Two Steps Actually Works

The 10-step routine exists because step 1 breaks something that step 2 has to fix.

Harsh cleanser strips your oils → toner tries to rebalance → serum tries to repair → moisturizer tries to seal → eye cream for the "delicate" area → night cream because day cream isn't enough.

It's an infinite loop of problems and solutions.

Tallow soap doesn't strip because it's fat-based. Nothing to rebalance.
Tallow balm absorbs because it matches your biology. Nothing to seal in artificially.

Two steps that don't create new problems. This is what regenerative skincare actually looks like in practice—ingredients from a system that gives back instead of just taking.

Choosing Your Two Products

The routine is the same—but you can customize what you use:

For your face: Tallow face balm is the all-rounder. If you prefer something lighter, whipped tallow absorbs even faster with an airier texture.

For redness or reactive skin: Blue tansy face balm adds anti-inflammatory botanicals to the tallow base.

For your body: Tallow body butter or grass-fed tallow lotion cover everything from shoulders to feet.

For cracked, damaged skin: Grass-fed tallow salve is concentrated healing for spots that need extra repair.

For men: The same routine works. We wrote a full no-BS guide for men here—including why it's a post-shave game changer.

For menopause: When estrogen drops, your skin loses collagen and sebum production falls off a cliff. This 2-step routine delivers exactly what your changing skin is craving. Here's the full guide for perimenopause and menopause.

The Time You Get Back

100+ hours per year spent on skincare routines.

That's 2.5 full work weeks. Every year. Layering products. Waiting for absorption. Researching what goes with what.

What would you do with 100 extra hours?

The Money You Keep

$1,200+ per year on products that keep you buying more products.

Two jars of tallow—soap and balm—cost a fraction of that. And they last.

This isn't about being cheap. It's about refusing to pay a complexity tax for problems the industry invented.

How to Start

You don't have to throw everything out.

Just try it for two weeks:

  1. Wash with tallow soap
  2. Moisturize with tallow balm
  3. See what happens

Your skin might "purge" for a few days as it recalibrates. That's normal. It's been overloaded with signals for years.

Then watch what happens when you stop confusing it.

If you have a baby or sensitive skin in the family, this same approach works for everyone—we cover the details in our safety guide for babies, pregnancy, and eczema.

FAQ

Won't my face be greasy?
Use less than you think. Pea-sized amount for your whole face. Apply to damp skin. Whipped tallow (lighter texture) is best for faces.

What about SPF?
Tallow doesn't replace sunscreen. If you need sun protection, apply mineral SPF after tallow absorbs. Different job.

Can I still use actives like retinol?
Yes. Apply water-based actives first, let them absorb, then seal with tallow. Many people find they need fewer actives over time as their barrier strengthens.

What about makeup?
Tallow works great as a primer. Let it absorb for 5 minutes before applying makeup. Or use tallow at night and a lighter product under makeup if you prefer.
